Quickly consider these questions as a group:
| 1. When and where will the next meeting be held? | ||
| 2. Does the team need to stay on Step Four, which is to establish the culminating task students will do for the unit? If so, each team member needs to do more thinking, using the Student Task Brainstorming Tool and/or contacting resource people or finding resources. Everyone should go to the next meeting with one good idea. If the student task is set, go to 3. | ||
| 3. Step Five is about writing an authentic assessment tool for the culminating task. Your team may or may not have had training in the development and use of rubrics, checklists and other kinds of authentic assessment tools. If not, perhaps one team member or another teacher from the school has taken a course or attended a conference and could spend time teaching this to the rest of the team. Alternatively, if someone in the school district specializes in assessments, you may want to schedule some time with that person for some training. These two books were mentioned at the beginning of the tutorial; hopefully, you have found these or similar resources by now: | ||
